DARK SIDE OF THE MOON COLLECTION

Jill Rousseau is an English artist, living and working in Charente Maritime. She works in acrylic, sometimes with collage to give dimension and texture. Work heaven is to shut herself away in her studio, with just her music and ideas for company. Her love of rock music has inspired her new collection. She has always worked closely with the elements and the Pink Floyd album, Dark Side of the Moon started a journey in her mind, which evolved into her new body of work.
Permission was obtained from songwriter Roger Waters to use the name for the show.
Jill says "it has been the greatest challenge I have ever undertaken. I have frequently painted until 2 am, and fallen asleep with the music still whizzing around my head!! "
The exhibition will be shown at Le Scorlion restaurant in the heart of St. Jean D'Angely for the month of July, and then in Dorset in October. Further details are available by email to, rousseau.michel1@orange.fr or by telephone on 05.46.97.91.87.

Jill Rousseau est une artiste anglaise qui vie en Charente Maritime. Elle travaille en acrylique, des fois avec collage pour donner un effet de dimension et texture. Sa façon idéale de travailler est de s'enfermer dans son atelier, avec seulement sa musique et ses idées pour compagnie. Son amour pour la musique rock l'a inspiré pour sa nouvelle collection. Son travail a toujours été basé sur les éléments, et le CD de Pink Floyd " The Dark Side of the Moon " a commencé un trajet dans son esprit, qui se transforma en son nouveau travail. Une permission du composeur Roger Waters (membre de Pink Floyd) a du être obtenue pour utiliser le nom du CD pour l'exposition. Jill dit que ça été son plus grand défit à date. J'ai souvent travaillée sur mes tableaux, le soir, jusqu'à 2 heure du matin, et aller dormir avec la musique toujours jouant dans ma tête.
